Our data platform now offers enhanced insights into racial, ethnic, and geographic disparities, powering evidence-based decision-making and driving statewide impact.

• Lead Cross-Sector Collaboration – Manage a 26-member Steering Committee of public health leaders, nonprofits, and local government to successfully launch and scale the initiative.

• Direct High-Level Strategic Action – Oversee a 6-member Executive Committee of public health, education, and philanthropic leaders, securing $480K in in-kind support to advance coordinated programming, data literacy, and outreach.

• Pioneer a Regional Public Health Dashboard Feature – Designed and launched a first-of-its-kind dashboard to track public health trends across the Central Coast tri-county region, enabling data-driven responses to shared challenges like the opioid epidemic.

• Advocate for Enhanced Data Access – Successfully expanded DSSCC database by 61%, improving data quality and insights for more effective public health planning and interventions.

• Increase Community Outreach & Data Literacy – Expanded outreach, communications, training and data literacy efforts resulting in a 40% increase in engagement from 6,000 residents in 2021 to 15,000 in 2024. 

• Launched California Network for Data – Lead and organize a group of epidemiologists from 13 different California counties to successfully advocate for greater access and integration of key datasets, such as the Strong Start Index, to ensure prevention measures are asset-based.
