Program Director, Girls’ Health in Girls’ Hands

As the driving force behind a youth-led mental health movement, I transformed a community-based research project into a countywide advocacy campaign. By uniting diverse stakeholders, I secured a $2 million contract for increased mental health services, passed critical resolutions, and empowered over 700 youth to advocate for their well-being. Through strategic leadership, comprehensive project management, and strong community partnerships, I cultivated a sustainable model for youth health advocacy.

  • Empowered Youth Advocacy for Wellbeing: Led countywide youth-driven campaign securing increased mental health resources for young women across 11 school districts. • Formed a Collaborative Council & Achieved Results: Built a council of diverse stakeholders (youth, educators, health professionals, electeds, executives) to advocate for health and wellbeing of young people countywide.

  • Strategized & Executed Advocacy Campaigns: Led campaigns with school districts and achieved county Resolutions prioritizing youth mental health.

  • Managed Annual Conferences & Secured Media Coverage for over 200 participants, achieving high satisfaction and establishing an annual advocacy agenda. Secured media coverage to amplify youth voices.
